Sir,
I must object most strongly about your article in last weeks Tunaville Gazette (10th Sep 1999) relating to the attributes of 'extra strength' lager.
Your correspondent seemed determined to undermine the product line from the outset without exploring in any detail whatsoever the compexities of what is in fact a particularly popular beverage.
It is patently clear that the opinions of your paper are in the minority. After all, 10,000 tramps can't be wrong. Can they ?
Yours etc.,

Dear Sir,
Am I the only one to have noticed the increase in the amount of litter that is
found at the far end of the High street, in the vicinity of 'Horsley's Hi-Fi'
and 'Dodd's Books and Video's' ? The pavement is littered with old beer cans,
empty wine bottles and food containers, apparently emanating from the 'Star of
India' restaurant. Furthermore isn't it about time the Council removed the
obscene piece of graffiti written on the side of Mr. Horsley's shop ? I suppose
it is a sign of the times, but if members of the public have a genuine
grievance with goods bought from Mr. Horsley, surely they should be mature
enough to voice their complaint to him personally, rather than childishly write
references to his alledged sexual behaviour on the side of his shop for the
whole world to see !

Sir,
What is the capital of Peru ? I think we deserve to be told.
Yours inquisitively,
Donny 'The Don' Donaldson
Sir,
Could any of your readers recommend a good pair of front speakers ? I am considering spending a reasonable sum of money on Hi-Fi equipment in the near future and could really use some advice as to what would be my best investment.
Thanks in advance,
Derek Smalls, North Tunaville
Dear Sir,
I am somewhat concerned by the amount of under-age drinking that now seems to
take place during the day in the village square.
Young teenagers congregate at the War Memorial, drinking cider from the bottle
and on occasions have been very threatening in their behaviour. Surely this
should be easy for the local constabulary to put a stop to, as it would seem
fairly easy to guess as to who is providing the sale of liquor to these youths.
It is a shame that a certain shopkeeper, who will remain nameless, seems more
keen to make profit than accept his responsibility to the community as a whole.

Dear Sir,
Having returned early from a weekend away, my husband and I were shocked to
discover my young teenage son watching a pornographic film. There is just no
way he looks 18 years old, so where would he get such filth ? Surely the local
video shop run by the charming Mr. Dodd could not be responsible for renting
such films to minors ?

Sir,
I know that there have been some complaints in the village recently, about the
high prices being charged at the ironmongers as a consequence of the recent
'bogus' storm warning. For the record I would just like to say that I have
always found the cost of goods at Mr. Donaldson's shop to be more than
competitive and the level of service second to none. Well done 'Wizard', keep
it up - you can't please some people if you ask me !
