Dear Editor, Although I think the olde worlde style of this weeks's Gazette is most charming and entertaining I would like to think you will resume normal publication of modern day events by next week. I dont get out much and The Tunaville Gazette is my only link to the outside world. Themed editions are nice once in a while but I like to keep up with contemporary affairs not yesteryear when Tunaville was in its heyday - which I must admit I well remember being a young girl at the time. Yours, Mrs. Ethel Ramsbottom

Dear Sir, Isn't it about time we had another instalment from Donny Donaldson in that fabulous Tunaville FM series '6 of the Best' ? I'm certainly looking forward to the next time me and the rest of the family can gather around the wireless and catch a wee insight into the listening habits of one of our communities more erstwhile figures. Maybe your readers could make some suggestions of who they'd like to feature in upcoming editions ? Yours,
David Slaughter,

Dear Sir, When, oh when, oh when, will the Tunaville Rovers franchise leap on the already heavily laden bandwagon of other footballing enterprises and give us, the down-trodden public, the opportunity to part with our hard-earned cash in exchange for a replica shirt or some other highly commercialised item of football memorabilia ? If we can't line the pockets of the board of directors during this heightened state of giant killing frenziedness, then when can we ? Yours encouragingly, N. Donaldson

Dear Sir, Do you think there's any connection between the recent arrival of 'Walkers Chips', a computer hardware store recently opened in the village and a subsequent shortage of RAM throughout the greater BigTown municipal area. Cynics might suggest that the proprietor of 'Walkers Chips' has attempted to exploit what was previously a well-regulated market. Surely, the likes of SuperMegaComputerStore Limited and PCUniverse Plc are likely to suffer as a result ? Yours etc, William Gates Esq.

Dear Sir/Madam, Although undoubtedly a mistake caused by the Y2K bug, it was however interesting to read last week's newspaper dated 1900. What surprised me was that the issues relevant at such time are not altogether disimilar to those of today. Furthermore it was very interesting from a historical point of view. As an example I was unaware that a brothel had ever existed in Tunaville. (One can imagine the fuss if anyone attempted to open a similar institution today!) At what address was Victoria's Bordello located and who was it's proprietor? Does anyone in the village remember it's presence and why did it close ? I would be very interested in any relevant information. Best regards, Name and Address Supplied

Dear Ed, It is a shame to announce that we seemingly have living amongst us in the community a complete idiot. I am not sure who it is, but it seems recently, the owner of a Porche motor car, the color of which I can only describe as 'Plum', insists on driving at break-neck speeds along our beautiful country roads. Surely I can not have been the only one to have seen this car doing in excess of 100 m.p.h. down the High Street last Tuesday evening. Before long there will be an accident, rest assured. I would suggest the local constabulary get on this case as soon as possible. Yours with concern, Neil Donaldson
